Local Entrepreneur Launches “Revolutionary RI250 Quest”
A Statewide Interactive Scavenger Hunt Competition Celebrating
Rhode Island’s Role in the American Revolution

(February 10, 2026, N. Kingstown, RI) — Just in time for the nation’s Semiquincentennial, local tech entrepreneur Michelle Girasole is launching Revolutionary RI250 Quest, a 10-week, interactive, statewide scavenger hunt that brings Rhode Island’s Revolutionary War history to life through storytelling, gamification, and real-world exploration.

Created and hosted entirely by RI-based Fresh Adventures (formerly FreshMaps), partnered with the Battle of Rhode Island Association, the RI250 Quest is a digital adventure that invites participants to step into the footsteps of Rhode Island’s most daring revolutionaries. Through a series of “rebel missions,” explorers will track historic
battles, uncover local heroes, solve interactive challenges, earn points, and unlock surprise rewards at participating businesses along the way.

“This is not a map—it’s a series of GPS-driven walking and driving tours,” said Girasole, Founder of Fresh Adventures and the creative inspiration behind the Quest. “We’re acting as the storyteller, gamemaster, and experience host, guiding participants through Rhode Island’s extraordinary Revolutionary history in a way that’s immersive, fun, and accessible to all ages.”

Girasole credits her memories of taking part in the Tall Ships Festival in Newport during the country’s Bicentennial when she was a young girl as her inspiration for creating the historical adventure.

The summer-long competition kicks off with a celebratory event on May 3rd at the Nathanael Greene Homestead in Coventry. For the next ten weeks, on their own schedules, teams and individuals will navigate through eight Rhode Island towns to the places where the Revolution unfolded, such as the Varnum House Museum in East Greenwich, Smith’s Castle in North Kingstown, and The Colony House and historic wharves of Newport. With videos, trivia and puzzles to solve to earn points, participants will follow a statewide leaderboard to compete for great prizes.

Designed for friend groups, families, work teams, and solo explorers alike – ages 8 and up, Revolutionary RI250 Quest competition blends education and entertainment, encouraging participants to discover Rhode Island’s historical landscapes, landmarks, and stories in a completely new way.

Registration for Revolutionary RI250 Quest opens March 15th, with the driving and exploring adventure to earn points and prizes running from May 4th through July 11th, 2026. In future years, the Quest will spotlight other colonial rebel adventures across New England and the South, following in the footsteps of the Revolutionary heroes as they fought to win their independence.
