FreshMaps Assists With Copper Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt

As anyone who lives or works in a tourist destination knows, the population and economy of that area can change drastically from one season to the next. The first annual Thamesgiving in Newport was created to extend the "on-season" for local businesses while encouraging community, generosity, and fun for locals and visitors alike.

FreshMaps founder, Michelle Girasole, took an active role in Thamesgiving. She was thrilled to use her expertise to assist in the Copper Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt that was an integral part of Thamesgiving. Michelle aided in all aspects of this project, from the concept design to the final celebratory event. Participants took their Copper Pumpkin Passports to participating shops, hotels, service-based businesses, and restaurants where they looked for the hidden pumpkins and received stickers for their success. Completed passports were then turned in for prizes at the end of the event.

FreshMaps would like to thank the founder and developer of Thamesgiving in Newport, Michele Gallagher of City by the Sea Communications, for her tireless work and for allowing us to be a part of the fun. We are already looking forward to next year's festivities!
